What Does "Beauty" Mean to You?At e.l.f. we believe in taking a holistic approach to beauty and wellness, and our products reflect our thinking. e.l.f.’s philosophy is that beauty comes from within. It's our goal to enable every woman to look and feel her personal best through the perfect blend of both the inner and outer person. Beauty comes from feeling and being your best, an inner confidence that translates to the outer-world as attractiveness. What does beauty mean to YOU? |

beauty is seen in the wrinkles of my 68 year old grandmother. Crows feet and laugh lines are apparent due to the smiles she gave. She was content with what she had and gave all she could. Years of children, grand children, hard work and love created those wrinkles and not a day goes by that we don't miss her. |

There is no real definition. Everyones perception of beauty is different hence "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." |

For me, beauty starts on the inside. outer beauty means nothing if there isn't a beautiful person on the inside. Beauty is loving your flaws and playing up your positives. Beauty is being a hard working woman who deserves to pamper herself by looking her best . Beauty is what you make it. |

Beauty is definitely relative and in the eye of the beholder. It does start within, and radiates outward. Feeling good about yourself definitely helps you to share your inner beauty with the world. |

I firmly believe that beauty is diversity! I am a plus-sized female and I feel discrimination of any kind is appalling. As far as using cosmetics to make yourself LOOK beautiful, I believe that anything that makes an individual FEEL beautiful about themselves is a positive! Whether it be clothing, exercise, makeup, or new shoes, to each his or her own! Variety is beautiful! =) tobnsydsmama |

Beauty means being comfortable in your own skin and embracing your uniqueness. From blemishes to scars, if you're beautiful on the inside, you're beauty will exude out no matter how you look. |

I believe that beauty is how a person is on the inside and out! I dont think it has much to do with how pretty a person it...for example a woman could be a super model...but not be beautiful. For a person to truely be beautiful in my eyes they have to be kind to others all the time, they have to be outgoing and confident, they have to love their life and the people around them! these are the kinda of people that almost literally light up the room when they walk in! You can tell they just have that energy that everyone seems to connect to instantly! |

To me, beauty really has to come from the inside first. And then when you are a beautiful person on the inside, you can look beautiful and enhance your beauty with natural cosmetics. I used to think that models were absolutely beautiful, but sometimes, they're not. They could be snobs, but just look pretty on the outside. That is not true beauty. |

I like Michelle's comment (8/14/09). I do believe that self esteem is the key to being able to pull off one's own personal style of "beauty" without worrying about how others' may judge it. I've been told I "don't act my age" by people who obviously have a stereotype of what that age "should" look like. I tend to believe that the beauty of any individual is inherent to whatever mood they happen to be in at any particular moment and the willingness to accessorize that mood with makeup (or without makeup, for that matter). Here's to beauty in all its forms!!

I seem to share a point of view with many others, and that is this: Beauty is the confidance to show it. You are not beautiful if you are not confidant enough to believe you are. When you are confidant enough in your beauty, then you are confindant enough to show it off, with whatever product you choose. For some this is makeup (like e.l.f.) for others it is clothes, or shoes, or jewelry, or peircing, or tattoos. To be beautiful, you have to believe you are. If you don't believe it yourself, how will you convince anyone else? |

I think Beauty is being able to mature gracefully on the outside, but most importantly on the inside, where your qualities of love, compassion, and unselfish giving clearly shine through. That's the beauty people remember long after you've gone. |

Beauty can mean anything.. It just doesn't have to do with looks. Beauty can be also found inside a person as well... I think when people tend to show their inner beauty that's when they're outer beauty shines through. <3 x0xMrsWatson101 |

Beauty is being you, being happy with your mind, and loving what you see on you. It's not the unrealistic images that society portrays, but rather seeing the realistic aspects of who you are. That's beautiful. |

I believe it is futile to fight with the truth that man looks on the outside while God looks on the heart. So while the heart may be beautiful to God, we will always notice first how a person looks on her outside! For that reason, no matter how lovely our spirit, let's make our outsides look as beautiful as we can! And all ladies, don't be mistaken, all gentlemen look for that outer beauty first! So like a fine Baptist preacher I once heard said, "If the barn needs some paint, paint it!"

As cliche as this is going to sound...I think a huge party of beauty comes from within. Someone can be gorgeous at first glance, but if that person turns out to be a b*tch your visible beauty doesn't matter. |

ok part of being beutiful comes from within, i agree that i find mean people less attractive! BUT, i have to say that make up makes me feel confident instead of the other way around! I used to have acne and now i just have reeaaaly red cheeks, i do NOT go outsitde without foundation i simply wouldn't feel attractive. To think a MUA at MAC sold me a warm shade of foundation instead of a yellow one, because of my red face, i looked like a lobster! from now on a foundation should match my neck and cleavage, and not my face! :p But, i digress!!... Plus for me it's a passion, i can't wait to wake up and put on my make-up again, that's another side of it that makes me happy :) |

beauty means to feel comfortable within yourself. Beauty not only feeling beautiful with so much makeup. Light, natural look can make you feel beautiful as well. That is what elf does. its clean, natural, and they also have fun colors as well. The point is to find beauty within yourself. This way, if you do, it will reflect on the outer part of yourself :) |

There are different kind of beauties that exist in this world. The beauty of appearance, the beauty of attitude, the beauty of love etc.
But personally I think beauty is something or someone that really inspires you. When I was in school one day, I saw this pretty girl...but that was it, after a minute her "prettiness" wasn't enough to keep me looking, she wasn't beautiful. Then I saw this other girl, she was also pretty, yet she was different from the first one..she was interesting, charming and beautiful. It's just like flipping through a magazine, the model is gorgeous...but so what, the world is vast and there are alot of gorgeous girls, but only a few can really make you stop and just think about the picture.
This is probably why the world has so much words to describe the aesthetic sense. Pretty, cute, beautiful, gorgeous etc. because not everyone can reach the BEAUTIFUL sense that easily, sometimes they just has to settle for the words pretty, cute and gorgeous before they can truly become BEAUTIFUL. |

Beauty comes from within. What people decide to do with that beauty is their choice. Some choose to keep it locked inside and be "ugly" and some choose to push it out and be "beautiful". Makeup's purpose is to accentuate the beauty that is pushed out, not over power it. That is why I choose to where natural, barely there makeup. Remember, it's ok to go au naturale sometimes and wear no makeup. If more people were to understand the purpose of makeup, the world would be a less judgemental place. I hope this reaches someone's heart. |

To me BEAUTY is what is released from you when you speak or walk into a room beauty is more than just what is on the outside it is whats on the inside as well and i believe that when you have a beautiful white canvas anything can be portrayed on it and using make up is a great way to express your personality and it helps you become more approachable to others so that they can get to know that inner beauty behind the amazing lips, eyes, and contoured face! |
