QUESTION: Why do I have to provide my email address in order to sign up?
ANSWER: e.l.f. uses your email address so we can identify you and see that you are a real human. We also use it to let you know whenever you have new messages waiting for you in the community. We will NEVER spam you or give your email address to any third parties.

QUESTION: How do I invite my friends to join?
ANSWER: When you’re logged in, click on the "invite friends" link in the right sidebar. You can add email addresses of friends from your Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or other address books or insert them individually. You can then add a personal message if you want to tell your friends more about the community.

QUESTION: Why should I invite my friends to join?
ANSWER: Everything (well, maybe most things) are more fun with your friends, right? Invite your friends to join your personal network so you can share special promotions, content and messages privately.

QUESTION: What does it mean when I'm asked to name my network before inviting my friends?
ANSWER: Your network is essentially a private discussion group for you and your friends to send messages and share content. We just ask for a name so it's easy to identify.

QUESTION: Where does the content on the message boards come from?
ANSWER: Each topic is created by an employee or beauty advisor from e.l.f. Anyone who is a member of the community can respond or comment on these topics.

QUESTION: Are there rules about what kind of content or language I can post in the message boards?
ANSWER: Please keep the language PG-13 and please refrain from posting anything that is obscene, racist, defamatory, abusive, threatening, libelous, or violates the intellectual property or other rights of a third party. Please refer to our terms of use if you have any other questions about what is appropriate.

QUESTION: How do I change my nickname or password?
ANSWER: Once you’ve logged in, go to "My Settings" and you can change both your nickname and password under the "profile" tab

QUESTION: What exactly is the desktop notification for?
ANSWER: Desktop notification enables you to receive notifications for special messages from e.l.f. and your friends directly through an icon that sits in the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Apple). If you want these community messages without having to go into your email to see them, desktop notification is for you.

You can download the desktop notification application right when you join or you can get it later by signing in and finding it under "My Settings".
